Bappaditya Ray, PhD student at Orange Labs and University of Poitiers, will give a talk on CABAC (entropy coding) in video compression standards and its potential improvement using deep learning.

In particular, the implementation of CABAC in recent video standards such as HEVC and (ongoing) VVC will be presented. In addition, its potential improvements using deep learning techniques will be explored.

The seminar will be in Telecom Paristech on Tuesday, March 12, at 10am in room B115.
